All India Handicrafts Week is celebrated
annually from December 8–14 to raise awareness and support for handicrafts
across India. The week features a variety of events, including:

§ Live displays by award-winning craftspeople
§ Indian food exhibitions
§ Marketing workshops
§ Talent upgrading and design training

§ Design workshops at schools

The
week also highlights the importance of locally produced handicrafts and
provides a boost to artisans and weavers. India is a major supplier of
handicrafts in the global market.
Handicraft artisans of Uttar Pradesh whose age is 25 years or more and hold a Handicraft Identity Card.
